Like it or not, history as it was taught us at school is mostly a matter of power, blood and abuse along the centuries. Thus here you’ll find scenes of battles, carnage, invasions, a few mighty figures deciding the destiny of thousands of commoners, pious bishops way more fearsome than bloodthirsty assassins, portraits of powerful kings promptly forgotten after their premature demise (often at hand of an impatient heir), and here and there a comparatively harmless selfless character that was allowed into history due to some mysterious glitch.
